AstroQuiz - the finals

The provincial leg of the AstroQuiz has come to an end with first place going to Observatory Junior School. The runners up: Hermanus Primary School and Valhalla Primary School.

AstroQuiz Round3 and Round4 - The process

28 schools (from 7 of the 8 education districts) in the Western Cape will participate in AstroQuiz Round3. The top 10 schools will proceed to the provincial finals, to be held on the same day. The winner (1 school only) will represent the Western Cape in the National Finals in Bloemfontein on 28th October 2011.

• AstroQuiz CD - Resource CD in iso format (providing details of the quiz)

• Your Guide to the Universe - study material in pdf format (required for ALL Rounds)

• The Universe - additional study material in pdf format (required for Rounds 3 and 4)

15:00 - 15:30 Round3 Group1 takes the quiz
15:00 - 15:30 Round3 Group2 takes a tour
15:30 - 15:45 Round3 Group2 seated
15:45 - 16:15 Round3 Group2 takes the quiz
15:45 - 16:15 Round3 Group1 takes a tour
16:15 - 16:45 Tiebreakers if necessary
16:45 - 17:15 Round4 (finals)
17:15 - 17:30 Tiebreakers if necessary
